Cakes Concealed Purse Carry Course

Course Summary:

This one-day course is designed for shooters who have completed Pistol Gunnery 101 (or possess equivalent experience) and are looking to develop the skills necessary to safely and effectively deploy a firearm from a concealed carry purse.

Course topics include:

  • Proper purse setup for concealed carry

  • Efficient and consistent draw techniques from the purse

  • Reloading methods specific to Cakes Concealed purses

  • Core principles and considerations of off-body carry

This course emphasizes safe handling, efficiency, and real-world application of concealed purse carry techniques.

Students will also be introduced to structured dry fire training methods to continue improving performance outside of the range.

The course is limited to 10 students in order to ensure a proper student-instructor ratio.

Course Expectations:

Students must demonstrate firearms safety and awareness, including the ability to safely draw from a concealed holster.

ANY safety violation will result in dismissal from the course.

Students must be a US Citizen and eligible to own/operate firearms (State/Federal/ITAR Regulation).

Class size is limited to 10 students to ensure a strong student-to-instructor ratio and maximize individual coaching.

Required Equipment:

  • Handgun with at least 3 magazines (9mm preferred)

    • No SIG P320s

    • No revolvers

  • Minimum 10-round capacity

    • If limited to 10 rounds, bring at least 2 additional magazines

  • Velcro Kydex holster fitted in the Cakes purse.

    • No nylon or SERPA holsters

  • Eye and ear protection

  • 250 rounds of ammunition

  • Water and snacks

Attire:

  • Hair tied back

  • Nails trimmed

  • Belted pants with pockets (cargo pants or jeans recommended)

  • Closed-toe shoes

  • Weather-appropriate clothing

  • Minnesota Permit to Carry or Permit to Purchase

Recommended (Not Required):

  • Handgun-mounted red dot optic

  • Backup handgun and supporting gear
