Course Summary:

RENTAL FIREARM, HOLSTER AND SAFETY GEAR INCLUDED!

This one-day course is designed for new handgun owners who have recently obtained their Minnesota Permit to Carry and want to begin their journey into shooting and armed self-defense.

Training focuses on foundational skills and practical application, including:

  • Shooting fundamentals

  • Drawing from concealment

  • Efficient reloads

  • Malfunction recognition and clearance

  • Application in defensive and competitive contexts

Students will also learn structured dry fire methods to continue improving outside the range.

Course Expectations:

Students must demonstrate safe and proper firearms handling at all times.

Class size is limited to 8 students to ensure a strong student-to-instructor ratio and maximize individual coaching.

Schedule:

  • Dates and Location: See dropdown selection

  • Start Time: 9:30am

  • Lunch:‍ ‍Students will be given 30-45 minutes for lunch. (Please bring a packed lunch)

  • End Time: Between 3:30pm to 4pm

Additional details will be emailed 2-3 days prior to the course.

Required Equipment:

  • Eyes and ear protection (if you have your own)

  • 400 rounds of 9mm brass cased ammunition

  • Water and snacks

  • Packed lunch

  • ID / Driver’s License - Must be a US Citizen

  • Permit to Carry / Permit to Purchase

Attire:

  • Hair tied back

  • Nails trimmed

  • Pants with pockets and a BELT (cargo pants or jeans recommended)

  • Closed-toe shoes

  • Cover garment (lightweight layer recommended)

  • Weather-appropriate clothing
